Happy Birthday to me…
Nov 28th
For another year!
Umm… well… that’s it. I can’t think of anything else to add…
I’ll just leave now… can’t even find a proper picture to add or anything, or decide on a good song to put in here – Happy Birthday just seems too cliched…
And now my weird writing style for this post screws the layout up.
I’ll stop now before I fail any further…
AIT Music Video of the Week: Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick
Nov 23rd
Hit me slowly, hit me quick! I’m hitting you with this post quickly (in that I am writing it quickly). This song is brilliant in many ways which is why it became a popular song featured in AIT (and yes a compilation will be coming out with them all on when I finish adding all the songs) . The catchy semi-disco tune went along with the theme of the rest of the songs which we liked for the similar melody, however the hilarious and now politically incorrect and suggestive lyrics were the main reason for our love of the song.
AIT Music Video of the Week: Never Gonna Give You Up
Nov 16th
Oh Never Gonna Give You Up, the only song and video that I will indeed never give up. As evident by my “Tris Astley” costume (see right), my blasting of this song to the four corners of the globe knows no bounds. Since I seem to be making a lot of lists recently, here is one of “Ways and Places Rickrolled”, as I am the one to not let an old joke die.
- On a boat (and don’t you ever forget it)
- On a dancefloor
- In an exam (make that three, including the directions to do the hand-shuffle)
- To friends so many times its not even “so bad its funny”
- To the Sydney Church of Scientology
- Via a Webcam
- Through the first letter of each line of a letter (you know what I mean)
- Covertly in many presentations
- Via a Counter-Strike script
- By making it an answer to a statement or question (I’m never gonna give you up, baby)
- Whenever a partial lyric is accidentally or coincidentally spoken or written
- In binary on a shirt collar (already enough images today, sadly)
- Any other place and time possible
And the list goes on and on… where do you like to Rickroll?
Fail of the Week: ReeMap
Nov 15th
Yes, this week I was able to give myself the title of “Fail of the Week”, only due to the fact I planned to show the “completed work” here instead and miss fail of the week until a few days later. Instead, the fact the maps aren’t completed make the “Fail of the Week” today. I think there are about 20 good, half-finished maps on my computer here, all of which I have made but given up on half way through due to the time and detail required to finish them. In no particular order, the following are the “unfinished” maps.
Some elements of the attached image may be copyright of Valve.
- The two “Haddaway” jails (named after the singer of What is Love for no particular reason)
- The new “T” jail (considering I never finished Haddaway, I can’t see how I thought I’d complete something else with so much more detail – maybe in the summer with all the other projects…)
- The “Pool Map”
- The “Disco” Map
- The “Office” Map
- The “Twin Towers” Map (although this is a mammoth task due to sheer size… and it’s not meant to be disrespectful, its just a set of twin towers, no reference is intended – it was merely designed to test some ideas)
- The “Escape” Map
- The “Hitler” Map (convientely swastika-shaped)
- The “Crap Map Rooms”
- The “Christmas” Map
And the list could go on, but you get the idea. There’s a sample of a couple of maps at the side, being Haddaway and the Pool. Even if I do finish the “T” jail, it will be in limited distribution due to low quality and large file size. While I’m here and on the topic of games, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the latest game in the Call of Duty series, was recently released. If I had bought it myself, I would review it, but since I havent got it – should I get it? What do you think of it?
Totally not a free plug for Corey’s site

The following is a completely unbiased and not to mention short review of Australian Pride.
If you need to find something in Australia, look no further than “Australian Pride”, the webside of a friend of mine who I do know comments on this site. I must confess that I have had some input into the site, and as such, a new design will be appearing soon along with some more content plus an update of the existing content.
However, do not let that scare you, it is still a very useful, functional and user-friendly site providing links to everything you could possibly need to do on the internet, along with other useful features such as search, weather and chat. Even if you don’t visit it today, bookmark the site, and take a look back some time towards the end of summer. I’ll keep you posted here with progress.
How could I forget the address? You can find Australian Pride at http://members.iinet.net.au/~coramin/.
Hilarious Video of the Day
Nov 13th
This is the funniest thing I have seen in a very long time. It’s quite an old one, but as the saying goes “its an oldie but a goodie”. This is why the video is so small and of such low quality. Enjoy!
In case you are wondering, “Nobody Watches Channel Nine” was made about two years ago now but I’m sure most would agree that the points still stand today.
A Quarter-finished map
Nov 12th
In the spirit of yesterday’s post, I decided to start making a new jail map, in the hope of having it finished for today’s post. However, I soon realised my plans were too ambitious considering the level of detail I wished to create. The “Haddaway” map which I have made will be used to make things a bit quicker.
In the meantime, I leave you with a screenshot showing the small portion that has been completed. I’m still way, way, way away from finishing – there is still a huge amount left to create, detail, light and script.
It looks like it will take another two or three days before a “good enough” version is complete and ready-to-play, and a few more days to iron out the minute bugs.

Jailbreak, my way.
Nov 11th
In case you don’t know, Jailbreak is a custom game mode developed by the community for Counter Strike: Source. Sure, you could play it like it is intended, but doing otherwise is a lot more entertaining, which is why I bring you “10 Ways to Improve Jailbreak”, which usually do not require help from others. Since T’s are the group who is disadvantaged, most of these tips are designed to find creative ways to grief CT’s.
Some elements of the attached image may be copyright of Valve.
- Find an ally on T’s, then switch teams and give them guns. Then get them to kill all the other CT’s bar yourself, which will annoy them along with the fact they will have to wait for respawn. You can always kamikaze yourself just to let the terrorists win, another way to annoy them.
- This is more of a short-term tactic due to the fact it is quite noticable. Whenever a CT tries to make an order, spam loud noise on your mic. That way, nothing will be heard by anyone.
- Ensure you know where the “vent cell” is in each map. Any good jailbreak map will have a “vent cell” where the wall can be broken (with your knife, but guns work too) which has a passage which usually leads to gun room or somewhere near gun room. I think you can work out the rest – make sure you do this as soon as the cells open before the CT’s know what is up!
- Hiding in cells – this method also works similar to the above – just make sure you do it well and when you make a run for gun room, that the coast is clear (or that the CT’s at least aren’t looking). More >
The first iPhone Virus…
Nov 10th
Be on the lookout for the iPhone virus (especially those who are viewing from an iPhone) if your iPhone has been jailbroken. The thing is, however, it won’t do much damage, because as this article says, there is only one effect: this becomes your background.
Luckily for me, my background is already quite similar.
AIT Music Video of the Week: What is Love?
Nov 9th
I don’t know, what can I do, what else can I say but that this song was sung so many times this year it ain’t funny.
